You Got This, Heff

I have always said, and will always believe, that the customers are what makes Foley’s the place it is. I’ve made some great friends over the past 15 years here. l also have had friends who followed me and been with me for the past 27 years that I’ve been in NYC.

That’s what Foley’s is all about, the friends and people that make it special. So, this week’s Stuffed Burger honors one of our oldest friends.

John “Heff” Hefferon has been a friend of mine since back when I was bartender in PJ Reilly’s on 3rd Ave. We have stayed close through births, deaths and marriages. We have many stories that will stay between us — so as to protect the innocent. 🤐 John was diagnosed with colon cancer and has had successful surgery and just started going through chemo treatments. This is my way of showing him that his Foley’s family has his back. We want him to know how much we care and love him, and we look forward to welcoming him back soon.

Now, we’ll honor him with The Heff Stuffed Burger. John’s own recipe is stuffed with Bacon, Red Onion and Kerrygold Irish Cheddar Cheese, smothered in a Jameson Irish Whiskey gravy and served with fries.

This is just part one in a series, as we look forward to the “Welcome back Heff Burger” in the New Year.

A portion of the proceeds from each burger will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
